The Suitcase

A writing competition for students

"Hello, is anyone there? I'm down here lying on my own, on the floor." Mr Suitcase was on the floor with no owner, empty and left deserted.

"Where's my suitcase?" shouted Mr Sir.

"I'm sorry master I do not know where your suitcase is," Mr Sir's servant said politely wishing he was the suitcase.

"Well you better find it, do you hear me?" he said shouting at the top of his lungs, pointing to the door.

"Yes master, I shall!" Elizabeth said. Now her name is very posh for a servant and there is a reason for that. Elizabeth came from a very posh family but when her father died in the war, her mother became very sick and could not work anymore, so Elizabeth had to work. And it just so happens that Mr Sir was the only one wanting a servant and he paid the best, so she had to go for that one.

Elizabeth walked out of the room holding her suitcase making sure she had a tight grip on that one. She was so excited to leave the horrible Mr Sir and go out into the world. She had never been out into the world before and couldn't wait to see what was out there. But just as she walked past the postbox at the front of the house, she saw something triangular and black that looked like a suitcase. And guess what? It was a suitcase, Mr Sir's suitcase.

What was in it ? She thought so hard about whether she should open the suitcase or not but she did and guess what was inside it? MONEY !!! So Elizabeth grabbed the suitcase and ran off with it until she got home and showed her poorly mother.

Mr Sir never found that suitcase EVER.........
