The Suitcase

A writing competition for students

Hello. The name of the suitcase is Mr Suitcase but Mr S for short. He's old, rusty and boring and by boring I mean lonely. People don't think he's useful so he's in boot sales A LOT! But what people don't realise is that he's MAGIC! What you want he will get you as fast as lightning.

One day Mr Suitcase was being sold at a boot sale when a woman called Becky went past and said, "What a lovely suitcase. My daughter Rebecca needs a suitcase and anyway I can make it all brand new." So that's what she did.

"Thank you Becky," said Mr Suitcase. Now reader, I know suitcases can't talk but since this is a story, just pretend. “Who am I staying with then, you or Rebecca?" he asked. “Rebecca and I'm sure you will like her and she will like you too," she answered.

When they got to their house - for Mr S his new house - Rebecca was overwhelmed and couldn't wait to go on holiday with it. “THANK YOU LOADS," Rebecca said as she took Mr S into her room.

But soon after she got to her room she got a message that said, "I can't make it to your birthday. Sorry, love Zoey."

Rebecca got upset. “I wish Zoey could make it to my birthday," she said. "Did you say I wish?" asked Mr S, "Because I can make things come true!"

So that's how he lives now all happy and making wishes come true like he was meant to. In fact he couldn't be better, but this is not how it ends. Soon after Rebecca wasn't asking for money but giving money to the poor and bringing their families back to them.

So they lived happily ever after.

The End.
